..is the Gaffer to the Hendon cause?
There has been a gradual increase, year on year on our underlying strength in composition.
Moreover, I maintain this period as an interesting intersection - potentially both on and off the field.
This was characterized by today's performance.
I genuinely hope he, (Gary McCann), sticks around, not because we don't need him, we do, his brand of play and his persona, is portrayed out on the field of play.
That has become clearly evident. It's a matching concept. We are mutually exclusive.
The Stones today, became a pale derivative with the loss of Glen Little. The K's last week were frankly woeful.
We clearly have 'Earlsmead' issues with only four home wins - and I personally maintain bringing the forward the Thamesmead home fixture was a masterstroke, intented or otherwise.
None-the-less, today Seeby pushing forward in the second half, Taggs and Michael Bryan, in front exemplified our resilience.
The management and players today, more so than ever, displayed honour and integrity to our club - and frankly the only error is we should have won.

Personally I believe Gary is absolutely crucial to the cause, and I honestly believe that if he wasn't our manager, we wouldn't be where we are. Should Gary ever leave, I believe that we would find it extremely difficult to appoint another manager capable of producing what Gary and his team have produced over the past nine years.
We were outstanding on Saturday, really pleased with the performance, if disappointed with the result. As many of you know I have friends outside of football who are long time Wealdstone supporters, and catching up with some of them after the game, they were very complimentary of how we played and agreed we were fully deserving of all three points. But that is the sign of a potentially title winning side when you have a poor game as Wealdstone did, but still nick a point. The championship is theirs to lose.
This next bit some may find to be a bit controversial.......
Those who follow my twitter feed will know that our turnout on Saturday in terms of support was disappointing at best. I reckon there were no more than 50 supporters there for a game that most Hendon fans tell me is the one they always really want us to win. I do know there'll be many supporters who weren't there for very good reasons, I have no problem with that.
My final comment for today - Gary, Freddie, Junior, Mark and all the current squad have shown real commitment to the club by sticking with us despite the budget cut. We are really fortunate that they have done that, it would have been so easy for them all to walk away. As supporters, we need to show that same commitment (as much as finances, distance, ill health and other commitments will allow), turn up to as many games as we can and really get behind the team and show them our appreciation for their commitment to the cause. We really do have a squad and management team to be proud of - let's all show them that tonight and in the games to come over the next couple of months - and together, who knows what we can achieve.

Totally agree with Steve's comments - the Greens support was pathetically low. The team deserves much better than this.
To the stayaways, for whatever reason, please, please make a special effort to come to as many of our remaining matches as possible starting with Saturday's game against Bury.

Very difficult couple of games on the horizon, and with only 48 hours recovery.

was impressed with the performance against Kingstonian, just superb, hard to believe that Kingstonian are in the top half of the table. The Kingstonian team looked like they had not played together prior to Saturday!!!! That said when I realised that Jefferson would not be playing I thought we would struggle......how wrong I was. I can see that in Leon and Anthony we could have lethal strike force. Good luck to the team for tonight Saturday and the rest of the season. As for Gary and his backroom staff, no words can explain how grateful all us supporters must be to have such a team. Maybe one day before Gary moves on it would be nice for him to have his team play at a ground we could truly call.
