According to Margate website there is a pitch inspection tomorrow 9am. Fingers crossed. Should the game go ahead does anyone know whether we'll wear green or orange?

Good spot on the inspection Jeff - Margate appear to have decided not to tell us! At least its an early one for those travelling.

No idea on kit colours.

Margate website says inspection passed. Game on. Please check for yourselves though. I wouldn't want to be the reason for a wasted journey. See you at the seaside.

Great result today chaps. Shown their true character - lads carried over the same frame of mind from last week. Difficult tests lie ahead - looking forward to it.
Keep those sleeves rolled up!
Well played.

... with DB's match report - there was no use of the word "gloaming" in it. In joke (where are the 'smileys' when you want them).

I didn?t need to make light of the visibility.

Gary's flat tyre delayed him and thus was news; the poor viewing conditions had no bearing on our dominating victory.

The You Tube highlights package was excellent.

Interesting match report. Big fan of the word cataclysmic. I also got a flat tyre - on the M2 on the way home. What with that and the petrol, admission, food etc my trip to Kent's cost me best part of 250 sovs. Don't regret it, me and the boy had a great (if long!) day out, our first visit since Sep 2007.

Pre-match went to the shell grotto (google it) and fish and chips on the seafront - jesus wept it's seen better days. Cracking 3-2 result afterwards. Very open game, could have been a lot more. Michael Bryan turned the Gate defence inside out during the first half, and Louis and Thomas were a class act. And I'm convinced if I keep watching Bennett's effort on YouTube enough times it will go in.

A year early

Margate people tell me there is a massive refurbishment of the front planned for the next few months/years. To say it is has seen better days is being very kind. In recent years I have been to Folkestone, Ramsgate, Margate and Hastings and it would be fair to say that none have been vibrant ? Brighton remains good, but Worthing appears to be on the slippery slope to the first four. At least Hastings has a World Championship golf course anyone can play on - Crazy!

Don, if you think watching the You Tube replays will give Bennett a goal, then my You Tube replays will have us clearing the ball for the Margate opening goal ? and the cameraman missed the first two misplaced Hendon passes!
