Isthmian League next season ?

There is a possibility Hendon could be switched back to the Isthmian Lge next season. Hopefully into the Premier Divn
How would that be received by the fans ?
I believe attendances would improve with a transfer.

This would be very good news.
Should facilitate player recruitment getting rid of the disicentive of excessive travel to the South West. Linked to this our travel budget would benefit.

That would be brilliant news if it ever came about. The Southern League Premier South in its present configuration is scarcely sustainable for clubs like Hendon at step three level, which involves many clubs travelling further than Conference South clubs. Ex-Isthmian league teams of 60 years pedigree deserve to be treated with at least some consideration.

probably a bit early for league decisions at this stage of the season as very fluid & dependant on who gets relegated/promoted
As we’ve known for a few years at step 3 we are on the cusp of both isthmian prem & southern south prem.
Should we be relegated we might end up in southern league central with clubs like Hadley who are 5 miles up the road or isthmian south central with many clubs in the Middlesex area like Uxbridge
Usually an FA Committee decision rather than something the club or league can control. Not an exact science but these links are interesting and are pretty good predictors of who ends up in which league

better players tend to be attracted by better results. Player recruitment doesn’t just happen in the close season but as a club we are unfortunately in a position where we haven’t yet secured step 3 status which can make players a bit twitchy if committing for the future
Better crowds is an interesting point. Imo SJP has historically never really been a great location for pulling in big crowds - the Folkestone play off and arsenal friendlies were fantastic and before that Kingsbury attracted 500+ crowds for matches against Wealdstone, Chelsea reserves, spurs and Aldershot town but these were the exceptions and tbh I can recall a few games in the 90s/early 2000s of Kingsbury town where crowds were “officially”single figures

Still premature but the latest projections at step 3 does seem to move us back to back to the isthmian….still a way to go but no bigger incentive to finish above the drop zone
