What doesn't kill you makes you stronger - I'm not sure about that!
How can you win 6-0 and at the same time look tired?
I've wanted this season to end - Since about Christmas!
Physically and mentally exhausted.
Everyone yesterday, the fave topic of conversation. Which league next year?
Resounding choice, the Isthmian. We all know why.
The contrarian in me is part Southern, which is really playing on my mind. From a purely footballing standpoint. I do think this division gives you a solid grounding in the skillset required to survive at a higher level. That Poole goal, last Saturday, see message below, for me perfectly sums up this division. The kind of benchmark in terms of a coping mechanism. Top 4 in this league are usually streets ahead, the bottom 4 cannon fodder. Ryman for me, a more level playing field. The physically stronger sides in our domain are seemingly coming out on top.
Of the London contingent, I do think Hendon and Chesham fair well in trying to penetrate the normal makeshift akin to meteors slamming into an unfriendly hostile planet. A process of a new life form, trying to adapt to a new environment. Sold defence an absolute must. I think we get that - we live long and prosper - (one for you Trekkies).
I don't think we belong in this world. As Johnny Rotten said, "You should always go where you are not wanted first - there's more to achieve".
Maybe what doesn't kill you, does make you stronger.
With whatever juice we've got left - give a Tuesday a shot!
We'll be back!
