We both share the same birthplace. Today is his birthday. Got me thinking. Theory of evolution. The last game before the lockdown was a 1-0 defeat at Imber Court. Of that game, only four of the same starters for the Met and only one for Hendon. I then listened to Lee's post-match. More than interested to hear any follow-up with regards to feedback.
We don't tend to create much there in general. A bit of cutting edge.
We are now in the realm of knowing what to expect from oppositions. I think a lot boils down to fine margins at certain locations. A goal let in from a corner - touched on in-numerate times. Darwin would do his nut! Albiet, recognising a pattern! Lee said in said interview, we were lacking something. What was it today? Keen to know how many chances we created. Games for me there can become a bit of a stalemate. Horses for courses kinda thoughts. Some patterns still remain. Just that bit of elevation to the next level.
Well, I'm off to Shrewsbury, to raise a glass to one of Shrewsbury's finest - of course, I meant myself!

I appear to be left in a vacuum. Vocabulary is seemingly all that is left. Well hardly. In fact, if one wants to evoke positive sentiments what the hell. Feels a tad Nelson-like. Trafalgar and all that. I don't care that they have won ten in a row. The next ten fixtures for tthem a more telling examination. Not sour grapes. They looked a pale imitation at our place. They do have a framework which is compelling. To me, they are a Weymouth-esqe physically dominating crew. I personally thought Yate were the more compelling contrast. I just don't don't think Taunton are right up there
at present.. despite the preference in style.
I think today is a day of reckoning. How good are the respective samples? Apparently, another poor goal, from a cross.
Not dealing with a cross again. A basic consideration from our standpoint. We are making life difficult for ourselves and frankly until you can deal with the basics it really doesn't matter.
A compelling batch of games. Maybe we have actually under-performed in terms of execution. That's one for the management. Our style of play and its effectiveness, irrespective of personnel for me is the consideration here.
We've seen the kitchen sink thrown at us in the past couple of games. I want to know how effective his plans shape up in contrast!
