Manager gone

Jimmy Gray has left by mutual consent. Sorry don't agree with this one jot, I know that as fans we don't know all the ins and outs (player wise there have been a few) but I think whoever takes over will have problems still I suppose Jose Mourinho is available. Good luck in the future Jimmy.

Jimmy Gray, Sorry to see that the club has parted company with Jimmy. Nice, communicative, and honest man. Nobody likes to see hard working and committed people loosing their jobs. But something had to be done it remains to be seen if this is the correct action. We are 12, league matches into this season just 2 wins and 10 points. At this time last season, and I feel sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong, 12, games 26 points! (What a struggle that season turned out to be.) Those results are just not acceptable and are relegation figures.
I appreciate that there are cost constraints put on our managers, and no doubt some supporters will point at the injury list that Jimmy has had to deal with. 2018-19 season the manager had virtually no players when he arrived, but we had a summer break this year to re-evaluate and prepare. There were a number of positions that needed addressing and I am not sure they ever were. The revolving door is still revolving no continuity no settled defencive line up, no real cutting edge in attack. On to Farnborough tomorrow night.

I'm arsed off! Gutted for James. I think he's a bright lad with a future. What that lad has had to deal with. No sodding side, building from nothing, with limited resources. I admit things ain't great, in fact pretty woeful. I honestly don't know what more the lad could have done. I hope those calling for his dismissal feel content. The timing aspect is awful. I would imagine trying to get hold of new players at around this time is going to be challenging to say the least. If his nearest and dearest depart, this exaggerates our problems. Naturally, I hope things work out for the best for all parties. I worry, longer-term horizon, that every time we go near the drop-door this could become increasingly the norm as pressure mounts. Wingate are on their fourth or fifth manager in three years. I think there is a lack of consideration for our new environment in the Southern League and no doubt the increased difficulties this incorporates.
I personally wish James all the very best going forward. I really don't know what more credentials anybody else could have brought to the job.

We supporters have it easy, don't we? Manager should go! manager should stay!
I feel enormously for Jimmy, a more honest and hard working guy you'll do well to find and the challenges he's faced not only when he took the job, but on a number of occasions since have been all too easily forgotten by some.
I feel enormously for the board. They were always likely to be damned whether they chose to stick or twist.
Ultimately the vindication of this move will stand on how the new man performs.
I'm absolutely gutted it hasn't worked out for Jimmy, I really hope he's able to find something else soon and prove the doubters wrong.
Whoever the new man is, he comes into the job with my unswerving support - same as Gary did, same as Jimmy did.

Only time will tell if the right decision has been made.I'm sorry to see Jimmy go,I think he's a smashing bloke and I wish him well and hope he gets fixed up with another club.In my opinion our enforced move to the Southern League is a major factor in our current woes.
