Knackered...

Even with the benefit of an overnight stay, a leisurely Saturday morning stroll along a coastal path and lunchtime mooch around Truro I wasn't remotely prepared for how tired I was during the first half yesterday. And I wasn't playing.

I'm not really going to touch on the game that much, or our predicament in the league - everyone knows how much we need a win - just wanted to say that I thought every one of the 13 players (beyond the bare bones, you can see the bone marrow!) deserves plenty of credit for their efforts yesterday afternoon. To go 2-0 down against a strong side - who aren't joint top by accident - on a boggy pitch inside 20 minutes and not completely fold shows character and heart. I came away disappointed, of course, but not disheartened.

Very welcoming club, Truro, another pleasant away day in the Southern League.

Spot on as always John. I feared the worse after the two early goals but the boys hung in and really grew into the second half. Our goal had been coming and we nearly nicked a point that our second half efforts would have merited. Lovely place is Truro and a word also on the ref who I thought had an excellent game and so refreshing from some of the homers we've encountered in this league.
