Hi fellow Hendon fans

Sadly I shall not be able to be at the game on Saturday. As of today, Thursday, I am still in hospital (University College London Hospital, Tower 8 North, Bed 12 if anyone wants to visit) where I was admitted early last week with a life-threatening infection.

The good news is the worst infection has gone, but the deeper cellulitis remains and although it is improving it is happening slowly. If I don’t get any temperature spikes, I might be sent home tomorrow, but I am not counting chickens.

Lets win on Saturday and move on.

Wish you well for your recovery David. Thank you (and the various other match reporters) for all your reports - invaluable, especially when I'm not able to get to games. Always enjoy going back and reading them on memorable games.

We are all missing you and your excellent reports. Get well and come back to us soon. Saturday is going to be a tough one and potentially mind and nail shredding. Good luck to the team and coaching staff. Whatever the outcome it wont in any way affect my support for the club that I have followed for over 60 years.
