Past Weekend

Great interview with the gaffer - up-front as usual. Shout out to Chapps. I think he's been a stand-out over the weekend. His distribution into the box a key strength, his defensive game looking solid. Interesting to see if the lad as another season in him. Based on that form I would like to see him back. Depends on the Gaffers interpretations. What-ever and where-ever we at next campaign the a new defence is required. We lacked decisiveness. I do think there is a tendancy/reluctance for defenders to tackle around the box for fear of the consequences - there is in-decision. We had three clear chances to clear the ball on their first goal. I thought Matty opened brightly and faded. Had he released the ball a tad quicker we could have been in business on occassions. We know how Swindon will come at us. Expecting fast and intricate movement through the middle. Their away form is symetrical to ours. The start of the second half again - a real dominant display, individually and collectively required.

I know it's been mentioned on twitter - but how did that referee yesterday become allowed to referee at our level. Every time I've seen him he's been utterly hopeless.
Frustrating not to pick up all three points yesterday, and we had chances to get something out of Saturday too. Another nailbiting final day of the season awaits - we've had a few of them for varying reasons over the years.
Main weakness for me is the centre backs. I know for a lot of very good reasons we've not been able to field a regular pairing there, and I'm sure James Gray is working on that for next season. If we can keep James Hammond and Lee Chappell on board, that's the full back slots sorted, and I do like Luke Tingey playing just in front of the back four - rather like Kevin Maclaren used to do.
Don't care about the performance on Saturday - just get the win so we're not worrying about what Gosport and Walton are doing.
Cracking support yesterday - great turnout. We all need to be there on Saturday if we can.

Saturday's game we looked very 1 dimensional at times. Shaq scoring an excellent solo effort. 2nd half we rallied more but wasn't to be.
Yesterday's game at chesham was always going to be a difficult one. As said here before could not fault work rate and it felt cruel that we conceeded the late equaliser.
Our away support was excellent yesterday with everyone getting behind the team and kept the team motivated right till the final whistle. It's going to take a big effort on and off the pitch to get a result on Saturday so everyone needs to rally together and get behind them from the start of the game. We will do our very best to give the team the vocal support they need.
