Greetings message from Elliott Brathwaite
Views: 2499
I met Elliott in a local supermarket this morning and he was anxious that I passed on his best wishes to all at Hendon.
As most of you will know, after a truly outstanding 2014–15 season, Elliott suffered a knee injury in a preseason game at Maidstone and reinjured it a few weeks later. After a long time out he tried to come back, but reinjured the knee and had to make the tragically inevitable decision to quit football.
He told me his knee is now as good as it will ever get, but it cannot take contact, though he can do fitness work on his upper body and legs too.
Having not missed football for much of this season, he now misses it terribly and is looking to get into coaching – he has his first two badges.

Fine defender and who was always very friendly around the club. Very pleasing to hear that he's progressing well with his badges and it's often the players that have had their careers cut short, that make the better coaches. They're hungry for a start.

Good luck in the future Elliott. Always nice to the fans even when things weren't going his way fitness wise.
