I thought our youngsters - I think, like last season, some of us forget quite how young some of our first team squad are - did very well last night, especially if we ignore the first quarter of an hour when we did look very nervous and paid the price.

However, great character shown to not let heads drop. It could easily have turned into a rout, but it didn't. Second half particularly, I felt that we were the better side, and were unfortunate not to get an equaliser and take it to extra time. There's certainly a couple of the U23s who aren't yet on first team forms I'd like to see given another chance in Ben Gray and Mickey White.

Disappointing of course to be out of a cup, but I think the game served a purpose for the longer term future of the playing side of the club.
