Tranmere got a red in the first min and somehow went one up but Wood have scored and now have 45 minutes to create history. The smallest club ever to reach the EFL proper!
There?s parallels to Hendon as not long ago they were more or less in the same level.

The difference in experience at Sutton this year was continents apart from that we had at Boreham Wood last season. Different worlds. That Boreham Wood tie was a lousy experience long before the football started.
That said, I do have huge admiration for what Danny Hunter and Luke Garrard have achieved. There's a blueprint for success that isn't built on sand at that club.

I was there for that match too. Don't recall any bad treatment but I guess it wasn't friendly with the segregation thing. All I remember is the big guy scoring an absolute worldy haha! Lot of Greens up there that day too. Is it because away fans are not allowed in the clubhouse?

Tranny goes 2-1 up. Wood have blown it. They've done a Hendon. Ok ours was very honourable but the result is the same. Wood will be crying long into the night over this one. Against 10 men over 89 minutes? ...that's painful lol!

Official Tranny goes up. There was an ugly scene at the end which I don't quite know what happened. A Tranmere played had Wood manager's shirt by his collar. Fucking mong! You should be happy in victory but wtf is all that about. Sorry about bad lang chaps hehe. Don't like to see that nonsense. Anyway sorry for Wood though obviously some here aren't for a few reasons. Judging by the crowd it looks like Tranmere have taken around 15k and Wood about 2k tops and I'm being generous. Half of those are probably gooners lol!

I recall a fraught 93rd minute in a cup tie against Boreham Wood.
About -2c. Minus 15 with windchill.
That Maccabi Lions kid played in goal. Maybe he was doing something theological at college and wanted to experience as punishment as close to those described in the Torah as possible.
They were 3-1 or 2-0 up. Hendon scored in injury time. All 60 people in the ground were urging Wood to hold on and avoid extra time.

Somewhat unrelated, I will never forget the league game at Broughinge Road where we led until the 9th minute of injury time, when there had been virtually no injuries nor stoppages and Borehamwood scored. Robbed! Hendon attacked straight from the kickoff. Tony Kelly scored! The whistle went. These moments are never forgotten.

There were a few like that. The one I remember was in mid April 2009 when, with four games left and still needing a few points to ensure safety ? Brian Haule scored deep in stoppage time to snatch a 1?0 win
