Significant Win - WELL DONE!

Delighted - no technological insights from me other than the twitter basics. I love similarities and that score-line smacks of that of last season. Please tell me Arthur scored with his head or from a set-piece - I'll smile until Saturday! Last year he got sent off! Grinding out a result against a fellow contender - the gap could further widen as they have Billers and Margate up next.
Off the top of my head, I think that's five league wins out of six at home versus Leiston over the years. I fancied us based on their last two vids. They let in a soft corner Saturday and the centre looked suspect versus Worthing.
We hit them hard and early.
Very pleasing - well done to one and all - great night's work.

Thought Leiston definitely shaded the first half and felt that if they scored early in the second we could be in trouble, but the Dons had other ideas and stamped their authority on the game straight away after the break and controlled the second 45 minutes impressively.A good all round performance with the centre back pairing of Lee and Bray particularly dominant.

In the 7 matches that Tom missed through injury, we conceded 21 goals and failed to keep a clean sheet.

In the previous 7 matches that Tom played (not including Wingate) before his injury, we conceded 7 goals and kept 3 clean sheets.

Since returning at the weekend, we have conceded 1 goal in the 2 matches and kept another clean sheet.

It may be coincidental, of course, but this suggests that the positive impact Tom has on the solidity of the side is enormous and that as and when planning for next season begins, retaining him is absolutely key to us being able to build on whatever we manage to achieve this term.

I thought that the second half last night was the best 45 minutes of football we have produced in seveal weeks. It made a big difference when James Hammond came on and Tom Murphy moved into midfield.

If we can get the injured and other absentees back hopefully the ship will be back on course fairly soon.
