Hendon v Harrow

Wow! I haven't felt so exhilarated by a performance for years! From the first half blitz when Nico was a man possessed, to two of the best team goals in the second half. Looking forward to the highlights!

Watching a team in proper green and white again is a pleasure in itself, in they're own ground, with a really good set of supporters, without the one or two who get embarrassing or suspended. A few old faces seem to come along with each game and all are really welcome to get involved again. It'll be results and performances on the pitch that will count in the end and swell attendances. I thought they're may be a slight hangover from the Harrow result and we did look a bit leggy everywhere but defense, giving them far too much space and possession in midfield. Not switched on. With the Hendon fans really starting to get behind the team and time running out, Rian Bray placed a header into an empty top corner beautifully. He's a prospect, good awareness, positioning, responsibility. Did in fact remind me of PC Towler!

Simply the greatest Isthmian League performance I can recall in the last 45 years. The skill level, pace, organisation, fitness and execution reached a level I have never seen before. Put simply, facing a team on top of the league with a 100% record, we demolished the opposition and won 6-0!

Not getting carried away - But how good is this team? My overriding reaction to Saturday was the actual loss. I've just cast my eye over the play-off season - it's an almighty damn difficult achievement. On a comparable basis from the start of September 2014 we went on an unbeaten 14 league game run right up until New Year.
The last 18 league games unbeaten. It's damn harsh but you can't play like the Harlem Globetrotters one game and then slip-up. Notwithstanding we also reached two cup finals!
Points wise, we can probably get away with a few more losses through-out, but not many.
I compared us to Liverpool a couple of years back. Unlike them, we've now solved our right-back and centre-half issues. I thought the lad Bray at the back was very impressive.
Tough one Saturday - let's go.
