Tom Lovelock signs contract

Great news - and well done to the club and Gary.

Not only does it mean we're starting the season with a top notch keeper but, hopefully, since he's under contract if we were to lose him we would be adequately compensated.

Bring on the season!

To echo embee, this is absolutely terrific news! Well done Gary and the board in being able to make this happen.

Would be really good to get one or two others under contract if possible.

Arthur Lee has also put pen to paper and signed a contract.

This is good news given his performances last season once he'd settled in to the team. Well done again to Gary and the board!

Given the financial restraints that the club has had to endure for a number of years it is refreshing that contracts are being offered to key players . Gary and the board should be commended for this positive action.

I think we will grow as a club and become a force to be reckoned with in our league. Let's hope all r can recruit more fans to help the long term future of Hendon FC

Arsenal Wenger steadfastly maintains a club needs a 2 year transition into new surroundings. Interesting thought.
Along with these actions this would appear to give us supporters renewed optimism with regards to cementing our credentials with regards to SJP.
Its difficult for fans to access from afar the true character of its teams personnel. This speaks volumes for the players mindset and only helps others to commit to the cause. Let's hope they stay the course and form the foundation for us to build.
I usually enjoy a rest pre-season, switch off and re-charge the batteries and the like - this year I can't wait to get stuck in. If we can keep hold of most of the remaining personnel we could well experience a change in the wind direction.

I don't recall a better keeper in the league last season. A couple of more inches in height, he'd be dynamite. Off the pitch, in monetary terms he'll pay the club back with interest and I reckon on the pitch he's worth 10 points - Period. Peter Taylor referenced it in justifying Peter Shilton's fee. This guy will win us matches. Impressive.
