Route to escape

12 points should do it right?. Every time I do this kind of thread it's getting harder and harder but yet it's not impossible! There is still hope but we need a surge of luck and form combined like NOW..

Looking at what's left Sudbury is a MUST win now. Don't know if we can beat NM on Saturday. Draw won't actually be a disaster but a loss is also very possible. Tonbridge is hard to predict but I guess we have to try and get something. The last 4 games are all out win jobs but we might be able to still escape with draws.

The good thing is the last 4 games are not against teams in the upper reaches so they shouldn't hold too many fears. As many have pointed out though we seem to raise our game for the big teams and fail against the minnows. My Green tinted predictions have us reaching 12 points somehow. It's not a 4 wins route to safety but is just about manageable taking into account one defeat. Things may look gloomy after a defeat last Saturday but fear not this route to glorious escape remains open! Just think if someone says if you beat the Staines Massive in the last game to stay up we'd all take it right this second. Right? This has to be the aim to get to the last game knowing a win will keep us up. I doubt we can do it with a draw that's for sure. What do you think?

H Needham Market - L
A AFC Sudbury - W
H Tonbridge Angels - D
A Folkestone Invicta - D
H Metropolitan Police - W
A Harrow Borough - D
H Staines Town - W

I would really like to agree with you and I love your honest and realistic postings.
However, as a lifelong pessimist, I can't confidently see 12 points here. Agree 3 points off Sudbury is vital so as to give us any chance of survival but when have we got anything other than bloody noses from them? Remember too that they will be credited with 3 more points resulting from our home game debacle. As to our old friends, Harrow Borough, they are not out of the relegation woods yet, and have put 10 goals past us in our last 2 encounters (OK we got 9). The other games are against teams who should get the better of us, although we could beat Met Police despite their surprising rise up the table.
Agree that still being in with a shout for the game v Staines would be terrific.
Come on Greens prove me wrong (again) and win them all!!!

With regards to the Sudbury home game, although I suspect the result will stand it is interesting that both clubs apparently received an FA charge for failing to control their players. Of course, that still has a little way to run yet.

I'm pleased to see that Craig "catweazle" Edwards is back managing in the league after Tamplin sacked him at Billericay.

Slightly less impressed that he's gone to Kingstonian who seemed in free fall.

I know some of his teams might not be to everyone's taste, but I've always had a lot of time for Craig Edwards.

Pleased he's back in the game so soon after the shabby way he was treated at the end at Billericay (say what you like about him, you can't knock the dignified way in which he left) - sadly, if anyone is likely to make Kingstonian hard to beat within half a dozen matches it's him.
