Sudbury

This game is very winnable. I've been looking at Sudbury's recent away form and it's no great shakes. They don't tend to concede many but their last away win was at Billerricay so they can turn it on from time to time. This is a must win game for the Greens. I don't think a draw will be enough. I actually predicted a draw in my predictions thread but I'm a bit more confident since then. A narrow win is very possible in this fixture. Either 1-0 or 2-1 again.

Let's hope the recent improvement in play materialises in another home win. It surely has to otherwise we'll be getting more and more desperate. I might not be able to attend the game but I am not sure as of yet. There's 3 home games to come so I hope to make at least one of them. From the next 3 games I would accept minimum 5pts, a win and two draws or 6pts if we win 2. Winning all 3 is a miracle we can only dream of haha!

Not at the game but my usual saying "stay in the game at ht" is looking unlikely again. My fear after the cup win midweek was that we couldn't follow it up. 45 left but this is gonna need a monster performance from the lads. Don't know about you but I'd take a point right this second if you gave it to me.

Well from afar it looks like the lads have been read the riot act at ht. They've come out and given it their all to snatch a point to no avail. The usual, deja vu inducing story basically.

Some of you glass half full merchants will no doubt take the positives but in the end another 3 points goes west. I knew we couldn't win all 3 home games but hope was pretty large today and we've lost again. Over to those of you who actually saw the game. It's all going pear shaped folks!

Almost inevitably we will get a punitive points deduction which will all but ensure our relegation.
I wonder what Kevin's position will be following his dismissal for violent conduct? - I seem to remember his continuance with the Club was contingent on not being sent off again.
Maybe we should accept that our long and honourable reign as a senior club is over and consider releasing our more costly players and relying on youth for the rest of this sorry season.

Wow I've just read the front page. I didn't know about the handbags at the end though I guess it was a bit more than that with the ref having to abandon. Like you said Mike, probably best accept relegation and build again especially if points are deducted.

I have a theory. I miss mid-week games and compensate that by away-days. Games I miss, and watch in front of the computer, I get a general feel by making an instant best guesses of the outcome by assessing the teamsheet. Simple I know. Take on board form, the opposition, their characteristics, usually gets you somewhere close.
Today, was a rare event where I actually questioned the starting eleven. Not being privy to inside info, injuries and stuff. Today, I just didn't get it. My overriding consideration beyond that was that the potential on display was, and should be better than the first half where we seemed to drift into our all to familiar shortcomings.
Forget all the other stuff that's gone on today - that's what really annoyed me.
Had we got the proper stuff right what followed may not have even developed. Both Elliot's fantastic - and the lad Cole, best showing yet - game suited his drive, vision and purpose. Very encouraging Keagan lad.
To no avail.
