Trying a new tactic for the home win...

Ok so we know the team can win away from time to time but no home win in the league as of now. So I have decided not to come to tonight's match to see if I am a jinx or not. The club will have to make do without my tenner tonight and hopefully glory in a 4-0 romp. If we lose or draw again I'll be back next home game. If we win I'll see if I can stay away again. Don't wanna jinx it! What's better my tenner or 3 points? :-)

I wish it worked but it wasn't to be. We're going for the record no home wins in the whole season and still staying up!

We looked an awful lot more solid defensively than I've seen us since the Dulwich FA Cup match and limited Canvey largely to half chances or efforts from distance. What few chances there were fell to the Greens with Niko sidefooting wide in the first half and a late header being cleared off the line late on. Canvey, nowhere near as good as they were when they beat us in September worked their socks off - understandably given their recent run - and gave very little away. Not a great game, but important not to lose after Saturday.

Five points from Canvey, Leiston and Havant is a very fair return. Something to build on ahead of yet another tough assignment at the weekend at Bognor.

I picked the right day to be too skint to go to football as both Hendon and Millwall drew 0-0 :)

Hoping to get to a couple of the Tuesday home games in December.
