Cup match prices

Ok maybe I'm stupid here but is there like a reduction in prices for cup matches that are not in the FA cup? If not then there should be. Just my opinion.

In general, no there's not - prices have to be agreed between the two clubs playing and the league or relevant FA due to the way the money is shared, and it tends to be quite difficult to get other teams to agree to a reduction, particularly in competitions where there's only a few weeks between games.

That said, we have sometimes managed to get reduced prices sorted out for the Middlesex and London Senior cups - last season our home game against Cray Valley Paper Mills was just a fiver and I'm fairly sure there were one or two games the previous season we managed to cut the price for (I stand corrected if not).

I have banged that particular drum for years, the lesser cups should definitely be less, maybe that way there'd be more than the usual 40-70 turn up.

Agree completely with the principle, but as HB states, there are some hoops to jump through before we're able to offer reduced entry. There may be a minimum entry fee that we have to charge for League Cup ties, as I know there are for league games. There certainly is scope for flexibility on County Cup ties.

Keep an eye on the website / social media as and when for any reduced entries this season.

I also agree in principle - as long as we can ensure we cover our costs.

Seems daft that we charge £10 for a league cup tie - when pro clubs charge the same price for the EFL Cup.

And whilst I know the EFL Trophy has been a rather controversial subject this season - clubs are charging even less. As some of you know my other football allegience is Portsmouth - and for their home game against Reading U23s in the EFL Trophy, they are charging £7 for adults.

I don't know how much discussion there is at board level about admission prices in the three minor cup competitions - but I hope that it is at least being considered.

Just to echo that last point Steve - Millwall charged a fiver for the Checkatrade Trophy group game against West Brom's reserves, while the EFL Cup against Nottingham Forest was £15, and last season's home game v Barnet in the League Cup was a tenner. (not the TWENTY FIVE QUID Barnet charged when hosting Millwall in the same round this season, the reason I didn't bother going!)
