Virtual Q&A with Gary
Views: 3626
Gary has agreed to run a virtual Q&A session with fans, giving you the opportunity to ask the questions that you've always wanted to ask him but have never had the chance to do so.
If you'd like to participate, please post a reply to this message setting out the question or questions that you'd like Gary to answer. We'll then collate all questions asked and put them to him. His answers will then be posted on the website.
Deadline for receipt of your questions is 5pm on Friday 9th September.
Ready, steady .........

Gary, How do you get most of your signings? by seeing them playing against us,by traditional scouting methods, players approaching you personally, contacts with fellow managers at other clubs especially in the case of youth players at higher division clubs who may be available for loan.
Also what is your ideal squad size bearing in mind your budget.

1) Money no object, which player that you played with at Hendon would you sign for this current squad and why?
2) Last pre-season felt wrong almost from the start, yet this season's has felt a lot more focused and coherent. Would you agree? If so, why do you think this is?
3) After the play-off final defeat against Margate, what were your immediate emotions / thoughts at the final whistle?
4) What are your two proudest moments as a) a player and b) manager at the club?
5) Who is the best goalkeeper you've ever shared a training session with?
One of those is a bit of a loaded question... ;)

Looking at the number of new players this year, how many games do you have to attend pre season to build the squad or do players approach you wanting to join Hendon you certainly have a young exciting squad this year

The squad this year looks large and full of quality (compared with last year when I feel a couple of loan young professionals kept us up)
How do you keep the team spirit there when you can only select 16, and some of the squad may go weeks without a game?

You have commented several times about the number of young players that are on this team. What positives and negatives does this present to you as a manager at this level? Also, in light of the less than stellar start to the season have you seen enough to believe this team will continue to improve throughout the season?

It's fair to say in some of the opening games our midfield has been overrun. Once he is fit again will you play Casey Maclaren in midfield so that we can dominate games more, free up the creative players and take pressure off the defence?

Only if we progress to the next FA-cup round I wanna ask the first question otherwise just the Second.
1. "How far do you think is possible (realistically) to progress in the The Fa-cup this year?"
2 "How far do you think a team from the same step as Hendon can progress in the Fa-cup ?"
