Crawley Town

Further endorsing Hendon's penchant for uncovering talent, league two side Crawley Town, under the stewardship of one Dermot Drummy have today signed Messrs Aryan Taybakhsh and Addison Garnett.
I liked Aryan, despite his shall we say, enthusiastic approach. Good box to box player, strong and useful around the box. Could well be a very good move for the lad. Might be more suited in that environment.
As a footnote, I thought the Ryman last year was exceptionally poor in standard. Looking around at other sides, there's been plenty of interesting player movement, some of it enforced. Should be competitive.

Dermot must have had a few before one of the signings!

To qualify this a little, on Garnett.

He has ability, no question, and started well with us. But he went backwards quickly in a big way. One game towards the end of the season, might have been at home to Leatherhead, he had a colossal stinker in the first half and completely went into his shell. It was like watching Phil Tufnell facing the combined might of Garner, Roberts, Marshall and Holding. Really surprised he has made it into pro football, but I wish him well.

An absolute certainty for relegation, along with Burton Albion and Bishop's Stortford in a treble for me!

I wonder what might have compelled you to stick Stortford in there :-)
