Dominic Gentle

Shocked and saddened to read the news item on the website re Dominic Gentle, along with Freddie Hyatt he scored in the first Hendon game I ever went to in 1999. Only 44 as well, really sobering thought.

That is very sad news. Enjoyed watching him. Dominic wasn't a scorer of the spectacular - just a very efficient finisher, as his stats show.

I hope you'll forgive me at this time for remembering his two penalty misses in one minute at Claremont Road.
First one saved by the keeper diving to his right. No argument about the second - straight into the car park.
All forgiven - I think we won the game!

All my thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. Thanks for the the memories Dominic.

His diving header at Bath City will live long in the memory. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I hope 2016 is done with taking people now.

RIP Dominic.
