Away to Burgess Hill - 9th April - Engineering Work

Advance warning for those who may be planning to travel by public transport to Burgess Hill.

There are no trains running between Three Bridges and Brighton that day due to engineering works, and there will be some of those lovely rail replacement buses operating, which will add a considerable amount of time to your journey. The nearest station to the ground is actually Wivelsfield.

On this date there are no trains between London Waterloo and Barnes. To get to Staines you'll need to get to Barnes (there's a bus shuttle from Clapham Junction), and then either get the hourly direct service, or change at Twickenham.

The same engineering works last Sunday when I went to Worthing for a Middlesex County Youth Darts match against Sussex, unbelievable that they still charge full fares (£25 for a day return from Croydon to Worthing, the mind boggles) when they aren't providing a complete service.
