So Andre becomes the latest player to leave, rats leaving a sinking ship? Or something else?
His fitness pre-season stopped him being too involved early this season, but probably our best player from the turn of the year last time around, so disappointing to see him go.
What odds he'll sign for Kingstonian? They'd better enjoy it while they've still got somewhere to play, I suppose...

Seriously, I've got to stop going down the pub on a Thursday. The least surprising development. The lad, and I don't wish to appear critical has simply not seemed bothered this season.
One can speculate as to the rationale. Bottom line you need players who wear the shirt and are prepared to fight for it.
I guess the old school mentality of rolling up your sleeves and fighting for a cause is somewhat lost on the younger generation. Should they move onto more lucrative offers then I have no complaints. It is ironic to see over the years the amount of ex-Hendon players whom have moved up a notch only to fail to live upto expectations - but that is life.
This is by no means a distraction from the immediate task at hand.
Onto Billericay - We have a job to do.

Speaking of players who moved up, I notice that Ben McNamara was Vanarama Player of the Month for Conf South last month.

Have no way of knowing ,but I would suggest that the departing players were probably on top dollar and the club could not justify the expense keeping them with the team and the attendances disappointing to say the least. Make no mistake about it we are in a relegation battle and the composition of the side has to reflect this and I believe that the management team are working to this plan to avoid us walking the plank come the end of April. Come next August the SJP dream will materialise and hopefully our proud record of top division Isthmian league longevity will still be standing as we begin the next chapter in the Hendon Football Club story.

wow didnt really see this one coming, not too sure where this season will end up. however in my opinion we are on very dicey ground regarding players leaving.our squad has gone from looking like we had a good starting 11 to now looking threadbare to say the least.i hope the gaffer can come up with some adequate replacements.

Again, as with Leon, I'm not entirely surprised. For one reason or another, Andre hasn't managed to come up with the goods on a consistent basis this season - injuries certainly playing a big part in that.
However, his form during that run in the spring was absolutely unbelievable. I cannot remember a player scoring so many genuinely brilliant goals - and vital ones at that - in such a short space of time. For that, and those memories I'm left with, he has my thanks.
