Tonight

A great occasion tonight at Silver Jubilee, knowing that the future is so promising after years in a nomadic existence and, what's more, a fine performance. After absorbing early pressure from Cray Valley PM, somewhat against the run of play a skilful turn into the box drew a clear penalty. Two more well created and finished goals soon followed, as Hendon's class told. A brilliant Leon Smith goal, chipped over the keeper rounded off a great evening.

The standout player for me tonight was Ben Pattie - always in the right position and unlucky with a great strike that hit the post.

Very decent performance and game. The boys certainly seem to enjoy playing on the artificial, moving the ball accurately and quickly from the first whistle. Ben Pattie definitely deserved a goal for his considerable efforts but everyone played their part. Eapecially pleased for Oli to score a confidence boosting goal and to see Leon's fantastic chip late on. Goal of the season so far?

Great to hear about the work to SJP actually starting today. I've no doubt that Rob will keep us Twittered with progress photos etc and we look forward to those in due course.

Nice to see a few smiles around the club again during and after the match....from supporters, coaching staff and players alike. PS....last night's soup was good too!

Soup
The cream of vegetable soup was a best seller last night! Well seasoned with the wonderful flavours of carrot parsnip and tomato bursting through. Marcus Waring said we deserve a Michelin star for that alone. Service was a bit shoddy though!
