What a breath of fresh air that was - I can smell the flowers again.
Seriously, great collective will by the lads today. That's how to handle adversity. The performance galvanized everybody, including the supporters. All the supporters present were delighted to show their appreciation for the lads efforts. There was a real steely determination about our performance, despite the obvious lapses.
We're not out of the woods yet, but today was the sort of day which may readily suggest the lads may have turned the corner. Leon was a handful but Dave was exceptional. I want to mention Taggs, he put a lot of work in and his deliveries were spot on. The work ethic was exceptional.
Given the past month or so - enjoying the moment - let's use it as a catalyst to push on.
Very well done to the lads.

Good game to watch and we were worthy winners after a very strong second half, although Leatherhead did muff a couple of big chances too.
Leon was almost unplayable at times showing huge strength and composure for his second goal. That's the best I've seen him play for a long time. He was brilliant.
Dave had a quiet game in midfield but an eventful one in the Leatherhead penalty area! Apart from his two headers, he hit the post and put the rebound over the stand.
Leo ticked the midfield over nicely, Shorty hoovered up and passed well (and nearly scored one on one), Maz buzzed "between the lines" and Taggs gave us the energy and positional nous on the left that we've often lacked this season.
In balance though, I think it's fair to say that Leatherhead weren't the best and I still think we're going to have to defend a bit better in the coming months. But if we're going to be a high scoring team then I won't be complaining because yesterday's and the East Thurrock away game were hugely entertaining!
Really enjoyable day out and a pleasure to watch the lads play some good football on a superb pitch.
