SJP Planning Application
Views: 3507
Big day today as the planning application for SJP goes in front of the council.
We've come a long way in 12 months. Who knows where we could be, with a bit of luck, 12 months from now?
My fingers, toes and eyes are well and truly crossed.
Good luck, Rob, Simon and co.

Congratulations to all involved in securing this.
It is the best news the Club has had in many years.
As something of a rarity, a Hendon supporter who actually lives in Hendon it is great that the club will once more be back on home territory.

I just want to add my thoughts and good luck wishes for everyone attending the meeting tonight.
You know it makes sense to allow the application.
It is for the good of the community as a whole and will be a huge benefit for the London Borough of Brent.

Will be keeping an eye on Twitter from my darts match this evening. Want this to go well more than anything on the footballing side, not just selfishly from a HFC point of view, but particularly for Rob after the amount of time, effort and money he's already put in to it.
All the best chaps.

We finally have our own place to call home.
The best news imaginable.
Thank-you to Rob Morris and the Board - here's wishing you every success - you should all be very proud of your achievements.
It's the green light for some truly great times down there and I for one hope all those of whom have contributed to keeping our fantastic club alive never forget the sacrifices made.
It's the catalyst for many more chapters to be written in our illustrious history.
The words phoenix and ashes spring to mind.
Let's make it happen!

This is fantastic news. As Simon has said, now the hard work really begins.
Congratulations to Rob, Simon and everyone else who has been involved in the work putting the application together.
I think 2016 is going to be a very, very exciting year.

A massive thank you to Rob,Simon and their back room boys for giving us a new home in our old heartland.Look forward to seeing the details of the work to be done before we move in.After nearly 7 years on the road it will be good to be on the Green Green 'Grass' of Home in the next year or so.
Again, well done all of you.

Then aim has always been to create a sustainable community club that would ensure Hendon are playing for the next 100 years. The last eighteen months the club has made remarkable progress both on and off the pitch. The future looks brighter than it has for many years and there is a real optimism around our club. We take nothing for granted and know we have much to do before Hendon move into SJP but be reassured that we are working as hard as we can to make our dream a reality. I am just a recent gate crasher to the Hendon party the true heroes are all those involved in keeping the club afloat in the most trying circumstances. With Simon guiding the ship and Gary committing for a further two years the club couldn't be in better hands. The future is very bright!

It is indeed great news. Perhaps due recognition deserves to be given to Edgware FC, who have clearly played a very active role in aiming to restore a non-league ground to its fullest potential, whilst resurrecting their own club from potential oblivion. I have always felt that a ground-share where one club is a mere tenant is light years away from a genuine ground "share" where two clubs can share and contribute. Let's hope that the future of both clubs is bright for years to come.
