Conference backtracks on 3G
Views: 3292
Interesting to read that Bromley were set to go 3G but have now been told the "National League" (new name for Conference Premier) will not allow 3G pitches next season in their top tier - but Conf N/S are fine for next season, so Maidstone will have no problem yet, but it seems to be something they'll have trouble with in the future, as will any clubs with 3G pitches and ambitions of moving upwards.
Hopefully the FA do something right for a change and help Non-League clubs out by making the leagues accept 3G pitches.

You can already imagine the lawyers locking their lips at this one. Bound to be challenged at some point. Trebles all round?!

No bother there is always the FA to ensure common sense prevails.

As much as I find the whole 3G thing another step towards the complete sanitisation of football, the Conference's stance makes no sense. If you accept these pitches in the lower divisions, why not in Conference Proper?
