The normal rule is to deduct Enfield the three points. No replayed game.

Knowing the Ryman League though, famous for their ineptitude, they will do nothing, let Enfield finish 5th, beat us and Margate in the playoffs, THEN decide to deduct Enfield points, void the playoffs and promote the 2nd placed club (us)

Or award us a 3-0 victory of course :)

Suits me!!

As you say Paul, the points deduction is standard. A replayed game - an option for the league, but very unlikely - they don't usually, and they're going to want to protect the integrity of the championship rather than throw it into doubt. Three points awarded to us? Not on the menu of options in the rule book.

This all feels a bit harsh to me - from what they say (and we've not seen the FA's side yet) they did all their own homework on this, the player served his suspension once the FA's record keeping was tidied up and yet Enfield are still getting hammered. Last time this happened in our division, Thurrock were only found out by the next player's club who spotted it during their usual searches - there was apparent fault there; i.e. if Bishop's Stortford could find the player's pending suspension, why didn't Thurrock?

Given that the playoffs are technically Cup games, I'm a bit less concerned about playing Enfield Town anyway... we tend to win those ones!
