Another excellent result, against the most physical, nasty, ill-disciplined Hornchurch side I've seen.

We were superb in rising above the Urchins antics, and let our football do the talking in the second half.

Two winners last night - Hendon FC & Football.

A good win on Tuesday night.

I was glad to get to half - time at 0-0 and with eleven players still on the pitch. I thought we were either going to get muscled out of it (they had some really hefty players) or one of our players would react badly to some of the things that were going on, do something daft and get sent off.

In the end though, we might have won by three or four.

Talking to another Hendon supporter at Upminster Bridge station he thought that the referee had an odd game, awarding yellow cards for lesser offences while letting more serious transgressions pass.

Is Mcfarlane still manager there? Sounds like his dna is all over that team

Oh yes - Jimmy McFarlane is still manager - still referees the game from the sidelines, just like he did when he played for Purfleet/Thurrock.
