Just been up to Silver Jubilee Park, the pitch is laid and looks superb. Great job by Rob and Tom. The Hendon Youth teams will get the honour of starting the testing process this weekend then will come the first real test on Friday 26th September.

This game, which will be raising money for Cancer Research UK, has been arranged in memory of Les Vincent and Steve Cheesewright, both of whom have sadly lost their fight against cancer within the past couple of years. Both Les and Steve were regulars on the terraces at Claremont Road and Vale Farm, and in Les's case also Earlsmead.

A Hendon Supporters XI will be playing The Old Bellgate FC (Steve's old team) at Silver Jubilee Park on Friday 26th September, 7.00pm. If you would like to play for the Hendon Supporters XI, please contact Nick McMullen as soon as possible via email on nick_mcmullen@hotmail.com. Even if you think you can only give a cameo performance please make the effort. Just think, something to tell the grandkids ,one of the first to play on the 'mighty Greens' new pitch.

All supporters are more than welcome to attend, entrance is free, but we will be passing the bucket round, however the bar will be open until late.

As mentioned all proceeds on the night will be donated to Cancer Research UK, so please make the effort to attend. Thank you
