3G Pitch

Yesterday's Euro qualifier between Andorra and Wales was played on a 3G pitch. I haven't watched the match but there has been some criticism of the playing surface. Did anyone see the game? Did it appear that bad? But most importantly, was it (hopefully) an inferior version of the one being installed at SJP? I believe the one at SJP is at least equal to Maidstone's, which is a superb surface.

The surface being fitted at SJP will have FIFA one star accreditation which is only given after a hundred hours of use and a thorough test. The test includes the bounce and roll of the ball in all areas of the pitch and without this senior football cant be played on it. We selected the carpet after extensive research and opted for the same surface that is in use at Leeds Utd training ground. I spoke with them at length and visited their ground and am sure we have a very good playing surface.
