.... prevents us from playing home matches on Tuesday nights and the fact that we train on Thursday nights tends to preclude Wednesday home matches.

we will be lucky to get 100 through the gate(around 80 i estimate).no non league teams should be competing with an england game(even if as you say they are shite).in my opinion we should have played it on wednesday and we would probably get another 30-40.i know as simon said this would interfere with thursdays training but to foresake around £400 minimum doesnt seem right.

I can't imagine anyone in his/her right mind opting to watch the England motley crew over seeing a proper game of football.

Personally I couldn't careless whether we play on the same day as England or not. Gave up on England years ago.

I do understand people's concern as to whether clashing with the England game will affect our attendance or not. Had we been playing a local team - then it may have done, but to be honest I very much doubt it'll have much effect on the attendance on Monday.

That said, once we're at SJP - given our proximity then to Wembley Stadium - I think we'd be silly to try and have a home game on an England match night.

We have an FA Cup tie on Saturday so it would not be a good idea to play on the Wednesday night and have only a couple of days recovery if anyone gets hurt. There is no ideal solution - other than England delaying their game 24 hours!
