Thank you Steve

The Quiz last night was good fun. Thanks to Rob for being an excellent host, to Steve Lytton for being the MC in his inimitable style, the staff behind the bar and those who collected and marked the answers, but - most of all - to quizmaster and announcer Steve Rogers. The questions were interesting and clever (and there wasn't much we disagreed with).
There was an excellent turnout and even though our less than magnificent seven failed to cover ourselves in glory, we had a great time.
Thanks also too....

... Simon and Lu for doing the vast majority of the organising, and for ordering the rather excellent fish & chips.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was thoroughly exhausted when I got in! Another one next year?
Now that we have somewhere that we can hold social events, please do support them when you can as they will raise vital extra funds for the club.

.... if events are supported.
It has to be said that the vast majority of attendees were not Hendon supporters. As well as 3 tables of people representing Edgware Town and 2 tables representing our new Youth set-up, there were a number of tables made up of my friends and Rob's friends, a table put together by David Ballheimer, one put together by David Bedford, one by Mike Harte and one by Cyrus Cooper.
The result was the biggest fundraiser that we have achieved for many years and a nice little boost to next season's playing budget.
Most of us have friends and families. Many people like Quiz Nights, or Race Nights, or Poker Nights or Comedy Nights, or Music Nights. These - and others - can be organised but we need supporters to get on board and help us to make them successful.
Thanks to all who attended and to those who put tables together and a special thanks to all involved in the organisation of a very enjoyable evening.
