Impressive all-round display

Many post-match thoughts. Not only an impressive display but for me a far more composed approach. Furthermore, I thought we were comparatively comfortable, underpinned by a transformational defensive team effort. It was controlled and well disciplined. The second halves which have driven me up the wall were far less gung-ho and measured. Significantly, a consistent approach over the full duration. On reflection, I think this could be quite a significant day.
And I am more than pleased to heap praise on Christian Smith and Kieran Forbes. I thought the pair of them were outstanding. Maybe, the enforced changes aided us. There's some food for thought. I've questioned our wide lads and our shape in that regard. I still think the right back can be exposed. I thought Sean today, from a defensive stance, was rock solid. The lad tracked back and regained possession on several occasions. They all put in a shift.
There was a quiet determination in how we went about our business today - I personally came away with a different perception.
Not a classic, but a job very well done indeed. Their gaffer in his post-match talked about grinding out a result - that is exactly what we did.
I'm very content with that.
