The 11-1 victory at Leyton was certainly a high point and an Isthmian League record for the club, if I recall correctly. It was an astonishing afternoon; yes, Leyton were weakened by their circumstances at the time, but every goal was superbly struck giving their goalkeeper little chance of saving. The attendance didn’t reach 3 figures as I recall, so sadly there were not a great number of witnesses to the match, but it will live long in my memory.
