First up in terms of recognition - And despite taking a chunk of my lottery winnings on the day - A shout out to Simon and the Board. A long overdue, emphatic win, probably an appropriate time to not only endorse the choice of the new blood to also in all reality to acknowledge what a pain in the arse job they all actually have and what a challenging time, personally they must all have to constantly endure. Just for the record. Us fans really do appreciate it. What an appointment by the way. Frankly, not enough typing space. Stuff you lot! Time I blew my own trumpet!
On the day, going in. Down the flanks. WSM. Thought we had to win the throw-ins and get the goal-kicking spot on. I actually thought both keepers distribution on the day, from outside the box, gave more accuracy. I never dreamt of what ensued. Regarding WSM. I don't think they had the set-up that the top quartile have in terms of distribution via the centre-half, which unduly threatens us down the right flank. A sort of half-way house. I maintain we mirrored them in style, but massively outweighed them in terms of dynamic and execution. Which is why I'm not going overboard. There are those which are more defined. But, wow, on the day, we are clearly making significant in-roads. How we cope with lesser able sides with short-passing games, (Met Police for example), remains to be seen. We have to master the external environment.
As for that Brooks goal. That is the closest thing to Football Pornography you will see! It should only be shown after midnight via Cable TV for £6.99 per night, in a dark room, to prevent teenagers everywhere, trying to replicate!
Shout-out for Luke. Stuck around when many would have jumped ship. Loyalty a scarce resource. Top lad.
Today we created our own luck. Impressive. Hopefully, an indication for things to come.
After 18 months of struggle, delighted for everyone, (including myself)!
