Having just read the thoughts and memories of those on the HFCTRUSTBoard I just had to respond. Several said my Dad first brought me to watch Hendon FC.
I am now at the in "MIDDLE Age," at 72.My Dad, when I was ten took me to Hendo n to see them play Arsenal in the Will Mather Cup, which was an annual match
played between Hendon and The Gunners. I got totally hooked and travelled to many away games around the country and tried never to miss a home game. In my early 20's I became Assistant Secretary, then Press Secretary and for many seasons was Team Secretary for several Managers including in no particular order.... John Evans, Eddie Presland, Roy Ruffle, Jimmy Quail etc etc.
I came and watched a couple of games a couple of seasons ago at Wembley FC
Does anyone remember me???
