I maintain the effectiveness of Murph and Karl needs a definitive role. I don't think Murph is suited to a wide role. I see him more of a link-up player. Lewis Smith, (yes I'm a fan), over at East Thurrock has up until a recent long-term ban tormented us in a roaming role linking up around the box. That for me is Murphs most creative impact.
As for Karl, that comes down to the formation. I think there is now clear disparity between home and away performances. I rate this lad, probably the most of the current crop. Every time he gets the ball, you wake up. He is strong, and creative. Stuck out wide, I'm not sure we get the best out of him. I want to see him more involved. He's a tad Veira like. The spine of the team needs a revamp. I believe the personnel are already here. Sympathy with the Gaffer, the Mac lads and Big Dave out. The very crux of the team could effectively soon see a complete re-moulding. Get this right and the team is potentially transformed. More opportunity to regain possession, and impose our credentials.
The concensus on the terraces is for two up-front. Karl is looking promising for that role. The loss of Nico could be a positive enabling a partnership, rather than onus on individual.
