I watched top flight non-league back in the 80's and had a theory that different geographical regions delivered their own distinctive brands of play. In Cheshire, Macc, Alty, Runcorn & the Vics would provide a completely different examination than that of the London (Southern) sides, Barnet, Enfield ect.
Hendon clearly struggle with visits to the geographical outliers, and the games appear to full-fill similar templates with goals conceded, the timing of events and more frequent dismissals. It's an undeniable pattern. These teams in this division usually have larger budgets, and usually larger crowds.
Whilst I maintain this is a major floor in our make-up, as far as this campaign is concerned, with only four home league games played, it's not the end of the world.
As for how good we actually are remains, for me personally, it's a project way beyond this present time. I don't like our set-up, I think we have too much reliance on one forward. More-over I don't think we have a settled idea of what our best eleven is. When we visit these outliers on a regular basis and get results we are genuine candidates - until then it's perseverance.
