I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall of the dressing room post-match.
Interesting formation. Is it fundamentally flawed or the base on which to move forward?
It's flamboyant. If it works it's a force and a joy to behold - if not, every goal conceded looks a travesty.
The bigger picture, Big Dave and Kevin back in the mix. The dynamic changes and if so does this galvanize us, and/or does any defensive frailties remain? Compelling stuff.
I do not buy into the maxim that the opposition were that decent. On form, you would expect three points.
I can't recall an opening day salvo stirring so many thoughts.
Yesterday was well short of expectations, not because we are inept, but because we failed to function - and that is what is really annoying!
We may have been our own worst enemy on the day, but we remain a damn viable proposition.
