Yup, I made this same point a while ago (about 2008/9?) when some clubs went from £8 to £10 - a 25% increase at a time that the economy was falling to pieces was wholly unjustifiable.

£12 for this level of football is utterly ridiculous and I will be doing the same as yourself ,PP, and Paul if I go to any of the games where I'm being charged more than a tenner. Admission only - no programme, 50/50, drinks or food. I can understand to a point those clubs coming down from a higher level charging £11 or £12, and I don't know what Staines were charging last season - but Merstham and Harlow?!
