Tuned into Hawks Radio show last night. Apparently Enfield have 14 days right to appeal, (I presume this is already in effect). They then have the option of going to arbitration. Personally, I believe the situation will be (hopefully) be resolved far quicker. Another fair assumption is that each club will require a period of 3-4 days minimum in order to prepare, if not longer. One further development is that in a week or two (I didn't catch the precise date, believed to be one weekend further out), half the Margate side are unavailable due to the fact they are going on a Stag Do!
As much as I sympathize with Enfield, I believe it is time for a reality check. Whilst public opinion maybe skewed in their favour should this drag on into next week and beyond, that empathy may start to become fractious. They have been found guilty and been found to some degree of falling short in certain regards.
I don't expect Enfield to throw the towel in, they have every right to pursue their case, I would expect my club to act in exactly the same way. Whilst the system is clearly flawed, at the very least Enfield should acknowledge if they fell short in terms of due diligence.
The fans of each club can take it on the chin. I feel for all the management and players of whom are in complete limbo.
If not quickly resolved we run the risk of devaluing the entire campaign.
