Maidstone Last Night

We fielded a strong team and it showed. We went back to a 4-3-3 formation with plenty of width. With everyone hungry to get on the ball, our movement and passing meant we created a lot of openings in the first half. Great individual skill from Da Costa to beat the full-back and set up a chance for Murphy (but did it deflect in off Taggart?)

Second half was more of the same and Leon Smith will be wondering how he didn't score (the Maidstone keeper had a good game). The penalty looked a bit iffy as O'Leary seemed to hurdle the keeper. Anyway, a deserved victory and good to see O'Leary have an influential game and Oliver Sprague make a welcome return for a short cameo. Everyone played well.

Just a shame about the attendance. I was hoping for a few more Maidstone fans, to at least get us over the 100.
