From an archive perpective I have most match reports from 1908 to 1964. Can only endorse the above with an additional appearance in the following season in a London Senior Cup tie in a 0-4 loss at Cheshunt.
It is likely that further appearances were made at around this time as team line-ups are not complete - however he does show up in a preliminary reserve team line-up, (not confirmed) in the earlier season of 1920-21. He also played in a pre-season warm-up trialist game for the 1921-22 season and the article dipicts him as a member of the 'old guard' suggesting previous involvement.
Re:- the Barnet game - he provided the cross for the second goal and scored the third in the closing stages.
There was also a Lewis F Smith who played frequently in the same period - related? He left Hampstead for Folkestone FC in 1925 only to return to make further minor contributions for the reserve XI. Also had a trial with Aston Villa in 1922-23 and represented the Athenian League on a couple of occasions.
I am gradually building up full past player bio's as I plod on. It's very much a work in progess.
