The song that Paul Cummings introduced around 1970 was adapted from a Glasgow Celtic song.
The chorus went,
'H E N D O N, HENDON, HENDON FC, HENDON ON THE BALL'.
I remember the first verse,
'IN THE HALL OF FAME OF THE FOOTBALL GAME
THERE IS A TEAM THAT STANDS ALONE,
IT'S A LONDON TEAM AND THEY REIGN SUPREME,
THEY ARE THE BOYS IN GREEN'

There were several other verses.
