News breaking via the AFC Sudbury twitter page 2 hours ago - can't find any further confirmation.
Personally, my view for what it is worth, if correct, not surprised and not truly convinced of the decision, but we have to accept it and move on.
Needless to say every game here on in is crucial.

Whatever the outcome, someone was going to have felt a bit hard done by. Interesting that both clubs were fined which suggests that Sudbury weren't as innocent as their Twitter feed would have had us believe in the aftermath of the game.
Never mind, the equation remains the same. Three wins *should* see us safe. Forget this and move on, we are still in with a great shout.

Dangerous precedent set. If you're clinging on with 5 minutes to go, cause a punch up and abandonment and you'll get the points.

Regardless what happens to Hendon, I really really hope that bunch of snides gets relegated.

The League's decision doesn't set a precedent, dangerous or not, it follows a previously set precedent.
Somewhere in the original comments following the match Dave Ballheimer (I think) gave the example of Wingate & Finchley having five players dismissed, with the immediate abandonment of the match, and in due course the score at abandonment standing. There have also been previous examples of abandonment due to a mass confrontation, with the score at abandonment standing.
Surely what we want from the league in these situations, few as they may be over the years, is consistency, and that's exactly what we've got.
Whether we like it or not, and whether we feel we've been unfairly treated, is another matter entirely.

Interesting point Paul. I guess Sudbury supporters would look at it the other way: had the game had to be replayed it sets a precedent for getting games abandoned if you're losing at the time! However, and by my own admission I'm not an expert on Ryman League rulings, but I would assume that when a game is abandoned; for whatever reason; at whatever moment during the match; when the ref waves his hands giving the abandonment signal, and giving up the ghost from that moment on the score at the time becomes instantly irrelevant. In a sense, it still feels as though we have had 3 points deducted whereas Sudbury have not; so in effect I believe we have been punished harder.
Perhaps, by the very act of releasing McClaren, which, whether you believe he was responsible or not, and which may have been the right thing to do under the circumstances, rather than mitigating Hendon's case in the eyes of the league, might actually have been interpreted by them as an admission of guilt!
Anyway, as said above we must now move on and plough through Tonbridge tomorrow (that is in terms of playing them off the park as opposed to a mass confrontation!)

Final thoughts on the subject. Personally, I think we've born the brunt of the decision, whilst fully accepting our role in the events. In all likelihood Sudbury would have held on. Again, I believe you need conformity.
If anybody in that dressing room tomorrow needs a pep talk, then use it as a motivational point.
Just to poke fun at our resident Rangers fan, I'll close with a quote from none other than Jock Stein, and this applies to both sides. "I think it is important to win a match, but I think what is even more important is the manner in which you win"
We need a Jock Stein kind of day.

Just to put into context the state of play from my perspective at the time of the abandonment: A Hendon goal looked highly unlikely, as the performance was not good. In all fairness, as the game was already well into injury time, this was a fair outcome. Had roles been reversed and Hendon leading, we would have been aggrieved not to be awarded the 3 points.
