Just read the news and I must say I am surprised. The lad's performances have been somewhat diminished but then I would attribute this more to the overall cogitations of the midfield per se. Talking of which the ramifications are bleedin obvious.
As a supporter I do feel obligated to thank Lee for his efforts, so few players stay as loyal to clubs as several of our current crop and for that the fans are grateful for their steadfast contribution.

It has seemed to me that Leo has missed the Maclarens more than anyone. He definitely hasn't been at his best this season but I still think we've looked better with him in the team than without. Suddenly we're looking pretty lightweight.

What's happened to Harris and Shulton?

Sorry to see Leo go, when good he can absolutely glide through games. But he does seem to have been affected more than some by the malaise that has been running through the side and the change of scenery will probably do him good.

290 games is an outstanding effort by any player for any team. But for a couple of terrible injuries he'd be nearer 400. That he came back from those injuries is a testament to his determination.

So, thanks for everything, Leo, and good luck with Ks. Hope everything works out for him there.

One good game in five, got away with it last season with the Maclaren brothers beefing up the midfield, but not this season when given the armband and more responsibility. Not a massive loss.

Not sure about Kirby as captain though, with everyone fit and available he wouldn't make my first choice squad.

I don't think Leo will be as big a loss as the on field presence of the Maclaren's has been. He certainly didn't look at his best in the early season games that I saw. As Gary said, perhaps the move is the best thing for everyone.

However, as with so many players under Gary, his attitude has been spot on, especially when he was battling through his two serious injuries. He was always there, always working hard, and always fully committed - all things I expect from all Hendon players.

On a separate note, I see on Scott Shulton's twitter feed that he's seeing his consultant this week, but looks to be out for at least another 4-6 weeks with his ankle injury.

I see Leo played in the starting lineup for Kingstonian on Saturday. Good luck to him for the future - in my opinion he has not been the same player since his injuries.
