waiting for the forum to go in to meltdown having signed him.Our disciplinarian fans will love him ,looks from his previous record that he will make mr Shulton a positive angel.Lets hope we check everything before he plays for us.In my opinion not likely to be our cleverest signing.

Well... I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt - clean slate and all that - but if he's genuinely lashed out 8 minutes into his debut as AFC Sudbury have suggested (particularly when we're chasing the game) then quite honestly I wouldn't be particularly fussed if today was the last time he pulls on a Hendon shirt.

With regards to Hendonboy, I totally sympathize with your view - heck I'm half inclined to agree. But Hendon have set a stall out by sticking with the Maclaren's. O.K. so we have set a precedence and how can a club differentiate between isolated, however frequent events. As for what decisions are inadvertantly made by the management, that's up to them. Like you I was prepared to give the lad a go based on the fact we are coming up short in that area. Hindsight is a great commodity.
I'm frankly as interested to hear about the other new lad. as if he was injured or deemed off the pace to be taken off at half-time? Either way that's another consideration.
As for the result, I'm not surprised in the slightest. We are not firing. We look like a bunch of inidividuals (very good ones in most cases), rather than a cohesive unit. Our discipline or lack of it has been a major factor. Sudbury was the worst draw possible. Right now, I don't know which component of the team concerns me the most, the defence or the midfield. We are a works in progress at the moment - we need stability.
The defence has today again had an over-haul. Where the blazes is the lad Fisher?

Gary obviously knew this guy's record but decided to take the considerable risk. It was doomed to failure - let's hope Mr T is not given a second chance to add to his 8 minute Hendon career.

Top marks for the Management. We have clearly lost some bite and creative dynamic in the middle of the park and our centre-halfs with the loss of Elliott does look on the diminutive side. Given the amount of corners Canvey had I thought the lads coped well, but we have hardly had a settled back line to date.
It's such a shame the balance of the side will be disrupted with Murph being suspended. When he returns, with Andre flowing on the other side, we will surely look more like the genuine article.
Who can guarantee how things will pan out, but I maintain this is in principle some very shrewd management.
The Gaffer has highlighted potential weakness and this could really galvanize us.
It could prove to a transformational bit of business. Looking forward to seeing it in practice.
