Sad to see the news

I just want to add my thanks to Steve Rogers for all he has done since he returned ? with the rest of the Rogers clan ? to London. I don't think people realise quite how much Steve did and the job he and Phil did on the website was truly awesome. To my mind, hendonfc.net it pretty much the best website I use. You will be sorely missed.

Thanks again Steve, and I hope that your circumstances change allowing you to return to the club in the future.

I don't plan on letting the website go to rack and ruin in Steve's absence. He did most of the daily updates, so they may be a little slower than previously at times, but I still intend to keep everything up to date.

The sheer volume of work required to keep Hendon FC going is quite staggering and we are fortunate to have a very small band of exceptionally dedicated volunteers who help Graham to keep us afloat.

While thanking Steve for all of his hard work over many years, I can't help but think that:

- his energy and input will be greatly missed by the rest of us,
- those who have shed blood, sweat and tears for the cause should be immune to criticism, and
- it wouldn't hurt if a few others rallied to the cause from time to time.

See you tomorrow.
